I have bought 3-4 Chilton's manuals for my Hondas over the years and was very impressed with them. This Chilton for our VW Cabrio was VERY poor. Luckily I bought mine used for $7. Manual gives ALOT of general information, little of specific to the Cabrio or Volkswagen. No relay layout and no specific cruise control information at all - two specific points of interest for me right now. This book will walk you through general topics like timing belts, brakes, and oil changes.Where my Honda Chilton manuals were printed on newspaper thin paper to cram as much information as possible into 1 book, this one is printed on normal paper and is thinner than the Honda manuals. Book fails to address hardly any of the Cabrio specific items such as convertible top care, and top replacement.Do yourself a favor, gather your courage and money and spend the $50 or so on the Bentley manual. You will be much happier with it. Anybody want a Chilton's manual for cheap?

I bought this hoping that I would find enough information to repair a problem with a 98 Jetta. It's always a crapshoot with Chilton's - I was able to fix a 98 Jeep Cherokee with another Chilton's manual I had purchased for that vehicle.I lost this time. The manual lacks in detail - the many sensors the car has are mentioned, but never described. There was no troubleshooting information for any of the sensors I was looking for. There is only basic coverage of the fuel injection system. I was able to find more on Google than in this book.A waste of money for me. your mileage may vary.

OK... Chilton isn't for professionals. I am not one. It is good for some smaller jobs or as a secondary reference. I wasn't sure how to remove my speedometer from the dash. It had great pictures and suggestions. I wouldn't use the book to overhaul the fuel injection, but it is good for the weekly small jobs.

I don't have a whole lot to say about this. I need more out of a manual than what this provides. Part numbers and parts diagrams are what I am looking for the most and this did not have that. at least it was only 30.00.

This is definitely for someone who is not doing extensive work on their car. Lacks in depth explanations and testing procedures. Maybe this book is for amateurs because it is not as in depth as a Bentley manual. But maybe it is designed for novices?????

This is a very easy book to read and understand. He gives a fantastic look at what coaching is and isn't. He's got a great section on helping the coachee see things from a different perspective.What I love about this book (as opposed to secular coaching books) is that he emphatically states on page 22 that 1) it is NOT my responsibility to change others. The Holy Spirit can and will do it on His own - maybe with me but often without me and 2) It is NOT my responsibility to correct everything that I think is out of sync with Scripture, company policy or best practices. The Spirit may choose to use me in this regard, or He may have other means or different timing in mind.The author finishes the paragraph by stating "To someone afflicted with know-it-all-ism these realizations are nothing short of revolutionary."

This book changed the way I coach! I have read other books on coaching but Keith Webb's The COACH Model for Christian Leaders has given me a clear, concise and effective model for my coaching. I have relied heavily on the practical instruction and helpful advice that seems to come through on every page. Key to any coaching conversation is "asking thoughtful questions" and Keith provides dozens of questions that I use in nearly every coaching conversation. I highly recommend purchasing this book and pursuing the live COACH training that Keith Webb's organizations provides. In both the book and the training you will learn to use the COACH model (Connect, Outcome, Awareness, Course, and Highlights) in any coaching conversation. My experience with the COACH model is that it works - and works very well. The COACH Model may not be the only coaching book on my shelf but it is certainly my most used.

The Coach Model is the best training I've found for Life Coaches. Keith takes you through a simple plan that helps a coach identify the clients goal, investigate different perspectives, come up with a plan of action and make steps to change or succeed in life. His stories and examples make it easy to grasp the concepts as well. I was so impressed with this book that I joined his Coaching Mastery program for a week to pursue my ICF certification. Keith and his wife Lori are EXCELLENT teachers and mentors for coaches! I can't say enough good things about their heart for believers of Jesus Christ who want to make an impact for the Kingdom of God with Life Coaching. If you are a life coach, or want to be, you need to get this book!

It helped me realize I just needed to ask good questions so the Holy Spirit could speak to the people I was coaching and discipling. It also worked really well with my kids and employees. The best automotive repair book I've ever seen. From front to back, for each common problem, it takes a few pages to explain with simple clear drawings, the problem and how to repair it. Even if you don't do the repairs yourself, the explanations and drawingss will give you a through understanding of the problem so you aren't cheated by a mechanic.. If you read this book cover to cover, you'll understand about 95% of all car problems....you'll even be able to impress most gearheads.

I purchased this for my son who will be driving in a couple years. This book covers how to perform repairs that result in normal wear and tear, signs of wear, abnormal wear/abuse.This book truly is for the novice mechanic. Not a bad thing, in fact it could help a person save money by not falling for the BS some shops/dealerships tell you.

This book was just an incomplete list of possible problems with cars. I wouldn't consider this a manual. To be a manual it should have some type of structure or overarching progression. If you are buying this you should really just buy the for dummies book. I was hoping this would be more of a guide in how to care for your car. The For Dummies book includes things like a suggested maintenance schedule for your car. It includes a list of tools that are good to have to work on cars. This book doesn't do a good job at explaining these types of bigger picture issues.

Lots of rehash and rerehash so this tome is disappointing. I would really like to see a superior book really covering modern vehicles and how to troubleshoot and narrowdown the offending modules. I realize that all manufacturers are different but the is still a lot of commonality in the basic systems.

I would think PM could do much better. The authors ramble on about peripheral issues without providing thorough coverage of the task at hand. It's not well-written, well-illustrated, or well-organized. "Auto Repair and Maintenance" from Idiots Guides is lightyears better.

Bought this for my little cousin and he loved it. He is fascinated by cars so I figured I would buy him this book. I read it too and it does in fact offer good and useful information. Great Buy!!

For me, I didn't realize just how much the author did a good job on developing this character. Its so well done, Anita is a real person to the reader and there's traits about her that I like and dislike just like a real person. So good job on how 3D Anita is.2nd, Anita/MC treats the two men so differently that it actually pisses me off. They could have the same motive in the book but for Richard, she encourages his developing ruthlessness but for JC, she's ALWAYS accusatory that his ruthless behavior is self beneficial & evil ONLY. She doesn't credit JC with any other altruistic motive. As if what benefits JC is only for JC and not for his people as well. It's pretty tiresome to constantly read about her criticizing/accusing/disparaging JC. Also, the point in this particular bk where the 3 experiment on being a triad and she raises some vamps like they were zombies made me dislike her very much right then. She uses Willie ( so called friend) like a ping pong tween her and JC, then, as she has tears in her eyes, she again threatens JC and she sees fear in his eyes and her only comment is GOOD? WTF? some things Richard did made her afraid of him which made her pause, but its ok for JC to fear her? This is one conflicted puppy yall.....3rd, I like how the author has the Anita at least state several times, "I never claimed to be consistent." Aint that the truth. Like I said, self reflective up to a point. And I just realized that the MC fights her affinity for/with the dead, i.e...JC thru out the first 6 books, at least. And I think part of her fascination/lust with JC is this necromancer affinity. And she fears this, so of course she attacks what she fears. That last was a realization I came again after going over this series again.4th, I really like an author who not only makes me WANT to reread a series, but causes me to rethink a character and still discover likes & dislikes for them. Secondary characters as well.

I wonder why at this point anyone in the supernatural world that Anita resides in would be surprised by anything she does.I like that there is still a ton of adventure and roller coaster in this one. I appreciate that Anita is really pealing back the layers of her issues. What I really don't like is the negative appraisals she gives herself about everything in regard to her person, except he ability to kill. That she is confident on, but I wish should would let up a little on always being so critical of herself.The menagerie of men and monsters of course is still surrounding her, and nothing in her life is any less complicated than it was last go around.

I'm still reading the Series. Just decided to go back and read the earlier novels in it once again. I am always very careful not to put spoilers in reviews, probably too careful when I review any book. In other words, I am so afraid of giving away too much, that I probably give too little.What can I say? If you liked the others in the beginning of the Anita Blake series, you'll like this one just fine. I think it stands as one of Ms. Hamilton's best. At least, in my own personal opinion The Killing Dance is the Greatest Hit Single in the first several really wonderful books. Another Greatest Hit coming up for you new readers is Cerulean Sins.This series has become quite controversial among both readers and critics. In each new edition addition (lol) Ms. Hamilton pushes some envelopes a little further. For Anita Blake fans, the latter half or so of the series (I think the series is around Book 25 at this point in time.) is where quite a lot of readers who love the characters in Ms. Hamilton's fictional world, and who have an investment in the books beyond money, react to how the characters are behaving and changing within each book's story VERY strongly pro or con.You would not believe what a storm this series has created amongst readers! They argue and value judge the author and each other regularly. I must admit I did a little mud slinging myself at one point a few years back, which I regret very much for a variety of reasons.Rather than worry about all the hoopla past and very present, my suggestion to you is to simply use your own judgement...but only use that judgement to police yourself and your own values and morals. When and IF you get to a point where you feel you want to bail out, then by all means, do so. Otherwise, I wish you happy reading! There is no "wrong choice", there is only your choice.If you are considering reading this book (6/7? I believe) as a shortcut into Anita Blake's world, I highly suggest you start back at the beginning of the series. While I do think that the first half dozen give or take can stand alone, I also think they read much better, capture your attention and imagination more easily, provide you with the opportunity for emotional investment, and especially that welcome feeling of alt world escapism that every reader of this specific type of fiction is hooked on, if you start with Book One, where you can truly begin your journey into the really wonder-filled world that Ms. Hamilton has created, where you will meet Anita Blake, humans, monsters, monstrous humans and very human monsters.Don't let yourself be dragged into the ever ongoing great debates! The only person whose judgement you need to worry about and/or listen to is your own! In the end, it's fiction, and fiction should be fun. When it stops being fun? "Tap Out" and find a new fictional world that trips your personal trigger! Peace!

FINALLY ... for the first time since I started this series I got everything I never knew I wanted. Amazing. Incredible. Hot. Sexy. Dark. I never saw this booking coming but it is perfect. For a minute this series mimics Sookie Sachouse (which is fine as I haven't loved a series this much since then) but thank goodness Hamilton took a fresh new angle that satisfied all of my hopes and dreams. I'm spending way too much going though a book a day in this series at $7.99 a book but I dont even care. This series is a must read for any vampire lover, fan of dark romance or anyone with a pulse... and maybe even those without

The best how-to book I have ever read that explains how to change our minds to create a new and greater life for ourselves.

It feels really good to have a hefty neuro anatomy textbook without having to really take a class for it. Over 500 pages for only $12.00!! What a steal! And this book is a textbook I'm not kidding, Joe explains EXTREMELY thoroughly each and every part of the brain down to the ions smallest bits of the brain so that you the reader can have an understanding on how the brain works. You have to know the tools yours using if you want your car fixed, right? Right?

Overall this is a pretty interesting book. I kept waiting for more information on how to use the information in a practical manner but it didn't really seem to divulge much toward that end. However, it is a great laymen's review of current understanding of how the brain works, and I found it extremely Illuminating and well written. Only thing is it seems to promise information of how to harness the knowledge and help in a personal way. I don't really get much of that from this book. But I will continue to look for books by this author as I learned quite a bit and enjoyed reading it.

An interesting read. The author would not be considered an expert on the brain by many, but that probably makes his writing more accessible to the lay person. The chapter on cellular chemistry was the big reveal for me, since I was looking for the "why" of forming and breaking habits.

I like that this book explained the science behind rewiring neural pathways in the brain while also dividing the information up into sections that made it easier to grasp. I like the authors tone, verbiage and thoughts- the way he expresses himself- I can feel the excitement and passion in his writing, as well as his wealth of knowledge and wisdom in the subject. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for meaning in their life, those with chronic illness, those with mental impairments (anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc) and anyone looking to improve their outcome in life.
