This ending was everything I wanted, won't spoil but just take the time to imagine what that entails. Honestly this was a perfect ending to a perfect series. While I won't lie, I could always use more of Emelle and her boys (wouldn't ever turn more down) this ending was wholly satisfying. If you are ever in a state of depression and you need a pick me up this novel is the one for you. It has the romance you yearn for with a sucker punch amount of comedy. I've never laughed harder, Emelle has to be my favorite mc of all times. I can't word this eloquently enough, but if you like RH you won't be disappointed with this one.

Okay so this was a fantastic short! Usually you don’t get your monies worth, but this time you definitely did!So we do meet the guys parents, and not surprisingly Roark’s mom is a high society snob that treats emelle like trash. And she didn’t even remember her housekeepers name! The poor man has spent 50 years working for you and you can’t be bothered to remember his name?!So by now it’s been 3 years since emelle killed the prince. She now has a daughter and is pregnant again. And now she has to deal with a bunch of Cupid’s who already failed their first training program.Did I mention a bugger eating, furry, wart ball flashing troll decided to become a Cupid? Well yeah that happened.Cupid 69 is still mourning Belren aka The Horned Hook so Sev is also doing her portion of the work. We all know how that’s going.All in all this short story was highly entertaining

I so love ❤️ Emil. She was even more hilarious in this novella than in the others. The things she says is always the best and funniest stuff. Like no filter but in the best way. And it doesn’t surprise me that she is super clumsy while pregnant.But the best part was the labor. All cursing of the Genfins and Okot was hilarious. And then she calls the Demon by accident mid push. Oh my word best thing ever. I’ve had two kids and I still don’t know exactly what giving birth looks like and from what felt like since I went all natural I imagine it ain’t pretty. So I feel for the Demon. I really do. Probably ruined it for the rest of his life. 😂I can’t wait to get more from this group. 😍 I love them.

If you fell in love with Emelle and her mates throughout the trilogy that came before this novella, you're definitely going to fall even more in love now. 😍With Valentine's day right around the corner when the story starts, action happens pretty quick. We get to see even more of the love that Emelle and her mates share. There are plenty of your typical Emelle moments to keep us on our toes but overall I loved this story. The storyline was solid, stayed true to previous events and the ending was exactly what I didn't know I needed.

Raven Kennedy is a genius! Thank you for giving us a glimpse of the happy ever after.Just like in the other 3 books this novella is full of sweet moments, moments that have you laughing like a loon in public & more of Emelle's "genius" ideas. It's really nice to see Emelle coming along as a character. While she's certainly matured, all of her best characteristics are still present - her well neaning crazy ideas, the no filter & her need to be liked by all while not really giving a crap. Her mates are the same - in love & going a little insane but it warmed my heart to see how all her guys now function as a unit. They've truly built a family and I loved every word!

I adore this story so much, it's difficult to express properly in words. The way that Raven Kennedy crafts her characters and the worlds around them are simply perfect. I will never get enough of this world she's created and can only hope that she's far from done with it no matter the branch it takes. This adorable novella is simply icing on the cake.

This is one of those series that stay with you after you are done reading it and wonder what happened next. Well, I had such an amazing time reading their Next and how everything turn out for E and her guys. I couldn’t stop laughing on the last chapter and was so happy for E and her family. Every now and again a book comes along that truly impacts on one and once read will never be forgotten.The autobiographical novel by Sylvia Plath, describing her painful ordeal when she becomes mentally ill is such a book.This could have been a thoroughly depressing and self centred story in the hands of another and many may assume this when reading the blurb.However do not be put off, because The Bell Jar is anything BUT depressing.Plath writes with great humour and I laughed out loud more than once.She also writes with the intelligence and skill of someone twice her age.Her battle with mental illness (Bipolar Disorder) and her eventual recovery is written so honestly, so brilliantly I was more than impressed.Of course there is sadness in the aftermath of the book because we know she actually took her own life at aged thirty, the same year The Bell Jar was published.The world is a little worse off with the loss of this wonderful talent.Anyone who has any inkling of how The Black Dog can grab you by the scruff of the neck from out of the blue will appreciate this book and anyone who simply enjoys outstanding literature will be equally impressed.A great talent.

Yes, indeed, this is an intensely harrowing but still subtle odyssey through the battle with mental illness. Sylvia Plath’s timeless epic still rings true today…Esther Greenwood, our fictional protagonist, is unfortunately only a veiled cover for Plath’s real world disease which reached its nadir in 1963 when she took her own life at the young age of thirty. And it’s this volume, her only full length novel, that explicitly but also with a seamless literary touch, conjures the deep emotional and physical conflicts borne from this terrible affliction. Within, we follow Esther on a slow slide into insanity with such nuance and foreboding that the reader is almost compelled to believe that it is all true. And given Plath’s heartbreaking outcome, the literary debate lingers on as to if this is, in fact, that shrouded memoir.The story opens with Esther in New York, during the summer of her collegiate years, working and modeling for a prestigious NY magazine. Through many obscure and complex observations, we slowly get a picture of her; Boston suburbanite, Smith college-type on scholarship, the world literally at her feet. But it is, still at these beginning stages, the random comment or action that begins to creep in to her personality that makes the reader aware that something is not quite right. Sure enough, as we move on, Esther becomes more and more un-hinged, doing things far outside of her personality.Soon we reach a point where she attempts suicide and discusses suicide as the answer to get her out from “under the Bell Jar.” The literary ease with which we go from NY magazine model to suicide victim is stark…I found myself having to put the book down occasionally to internalize what I’d just read. This is really an amazing ability that Plath had…flowing from one emotion to the other without noticing until the full force of Esther’s actions take hold. Where the first third of the novel is fairly light, the last two thirds are riveting, very difficult to put down. It’s very hard to understand how Plath had difficulty getting this work published…only under a pseudonym in 1963 London and not until 1971 in the U.S. after it had been turned down, harshly, by publisher Harper & Row. Today it is printed and re-printed in many languages and enjoys its well-deserved place among the literary classics.To summarize, if one decides to delve into the classics, you can’t go wrong with this work. Dark, even frightful at times but always flowing and well written, The Bell Jar is both a stark referendum on mental illness and an amazing reading experience.

Esther Greenwood gets depressed. Really depressed. And she's also a young woman in the 50's/60's, just to add a not-so-helpful factor as well.The elephant-in-the-room when reading this is A) it is known to be semi-autobiographical, and B) Sylvia Plath ended up committing suicide. That might for account how richly Plath captures depression -- how you rationalize the little things, the abrasive way nice, shiny, perfect things in the world exist around you, and the fear you can never feel the way you used to again. And I think the authenticity combined with Plath's stellar language (you can't take the poetry out of the poet) makes this probably among the best novels ever written about depression. The way Esther mulls over her virginity, her mother, her ex-boyfriend, and how to kill herself are enrapturing from beginning to end.To me this is more 4.5 stars (or even 4.49), but rounded up because even the dullest parts of the novel are carried by witty narration and rhythmic prose. I don't think there'll be much to the story that will surprise a modern reader -- many stories have since followed the same structure of a young woman struggling with depression -- but none of them have the grace, humor, and merciless touch of Plath's words.

I love her. Probably because I can relate to a lot of what she went through being mentally ill myself. Such a wonderful talent that we lost way too soon like so many others. I cannot help but wonder what other wonderful things she would have written had she not made that fateful decision to end her life. She writes at great length about her life, her feelings, and all she went through. I have wanted this book for a long time now, and it did not disappoint. I want everything she has ever written. I do wish her husband hadn't destroyed the journals she had written up to the time of her death. If you love Sylvia Plath as I do, this is a must read!

For months I've searched for new Hillary Greene Kindle editions from Joffe Books. As I open each new book, I think that this time I will figure out who the killer is before Ms. Martin beautifully lays it all out for her audience. I'm zero for fifteen. She got me again, but it was a fair fight. Unlike some mystery writers who obfuscate, she gently hands out the c!ues throughout the book. They were all there. All I had to do was put them together... correctly.So now I've finished Murder at Midnight and there are only two books left. Ms. Martin has again cost me a night's sleep because there was no way I could put the book down before finishing it. There is a sadness because I've finished yet another Hillary Greene mystery, but tomorrow morning I will start my daily search for book number sixteen knowing that I have two more chances of figuring it out before she tells me who did it.

Another cracker of a read, I love Hillary and her team. The story was well written, had a good pace to it and some good twists along the way too. I just loved the ending! Can't wait to start the next one. If you're looking for a great UK policing series, I'd recommend starting this series from book 1.

If the book is by Faith Martin then it is going to be excellent. Her books are all well written, fast paced and thrilling, and this one is no exception. Her plots are well thought out, her description is delightful and her characterization is magnificent. I always look forward to reading one of her books.

Once again Faith Martin has delivered a book that was very hard to put down until I had finished it. I just thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a really good cozy mystery without all of the blood, guts and gory details.

I always enjoy reading the D I Hillary Greene mysteries, and this book was no exception. It was engaging and kept me entertained. I highly recommend it to other mystery readers.

With all series, unless you have read the previous books, you will have to go back, but each book gives ,I think, too much of history

In the world of escape fiction this well crafted story entertained the reader. Relationships are portrayed realistically. I am looking forward to reading the next installment!
