I am what my Dr. calls "pre-diabetic," and so I've changed my diet drastically. I like this cookbook because each recipe gives a complete per serving count of fat, trans Fat, sodium, carbs, sugar, protein, and of course, calories. A lot of the recipes call for packaged or prepared store-bought items, however, and I now have the time to make my food totally from scratch. That's the only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars. The book itself is delightful, pictures of everything, and clear instructions.

I was diagnosed with diabetes type 2 this week and the information in this book is so helpful! The recipes are great, with beautiful pictures, and easy to make. But the Diabetes crash course in the first section is very informative and I learned a lot from it. I highly recommend it!!!

I haven't made anything from the book yet but I am reading it as a chapter book (I know I'm a little bit nutty). I don't have diabetes but my mom does. I like that favorite recipes seem to make the book and there seems to be more concentration on portion control. I haven't seen too many (if any) recipes that use fake sugars which makes me happy.

Be wary of cookbooks with high-quality photos taken by "food designers". Too many $$$s. Expected better from General Mills. Little practical use for 1 person (recipes are for 8 to 12 servings average) and assume a "gourmet pantry" of special ingredients hardly found in an average person's pantry

Two members of my family are diabetic and the Betty Crocker Diabetes Cookbook is one of the better cookbooks for their condition. The recipes are not complicated and they also taste better than most other cookbook recipes for diabetes.

using this to help me loose weight and my husband to control his newly diagnosed diabetes. Helpful in helping him to realize what he should be eating, why and how to fix it so he has control.

VERY helpful book for planning meals. I'm a new type 2 diabetic, and this really helped me in focusing on what items to eat and how to be inventive with the food items. Definitely recommend

These folks made sure this book arrived in good condition. Betty Crocker seems a reliable book basically a north american cuisene but also offering a few new things. I like this book. Yum!
