This book helped me FULLY understand each system and how to get the most out of it. This book explains EVERYTHING about 12v and 6v batteries and system operations. From solar, to charging etc.I have purchased multiple copies to give as gifts to anyone I have known to struggle with replacing motorcycle, lawnmower, tractor or camper batteries every year because they don't understand fully proper setup, maintenance, and charging of batteries.
I am building a custom trailer... Bought this to help with the electrical and solar design. I didn't notice until I got it that it was writing in 2002. For solar and battery technology this was the dark ages, so it was not as useful as I hoped. Good info. It dated...
This book is an excellent reference guide. I now know more about electricity than I ever wanted to know. However, I'm building a teardrop trailer so the information within the book has been invaluable. It has helped me to understand everything I need to consider when I wire my trailer.
Very in depth exploring all the nuances of building a 12v system. Had very minimal experience with electronics before hand and had no issues understanding.
This is a great book, well written so that I have a MUCH better understanding of 12V systems and electricity. It also helps with smaller battery uses, how batteries are rated, how to maintain them and how to measure their condition. We are beginning a second adventure with an Airstream trailer and I am better prepared after reading this book, which will travel with us.
This book makes a difficult subject understandable. There are tables to fill out to help you manage energy consumption. I find myself paying attention to amps when I buy products! Great job.
i bought the book so I'd learn about solar and RVing. The book is very detailed and informative about battery maintainence science but very little information about solar panels interacting with the batteries and charging systems of RV's
